First crack detection
An innovative solution to improve consistency and roasting knowledge. This technology turns ROEST into a fully automated roaster that ensures each coffee reaches its full flavor potential regardless of skill.
First Crack Detection listens to the individual cracks, identifies, and registers the First Crack event. After the event is recorded, the roaster starts counting down the development stage and automatically releases roasted beans.
Roast in two steps
1. Drop the beans in
After dropping beans in the roaster, the sample roaster follows your profile from the start till the end with digital precision. AI solution identifies and registers First Crack for you. After reaching the ideal development time, beans are automatically released for a fast cooling process
2. Collect the roasted beans
You are ready to drop the next batch without waiting for the released beans to cool down. After 90 seconds, your beans are cooled down and you can collect your first batch of coffee.
Workflow efficiency
Work efficiently with back-to-back roasting. Cool and heat at the same time! ROEST is ready to roast another batch right after dropping the previous one. A powerful dual-fan system ensures a fast cooling process while you're roasting a new batch.
Continuous roasting
Roast as many samples per day as you need! ROEST has no daily limit, making it the ideal lab assistant. With a capacity of 50 - 200g per batch, you can roast up to 2kg of coffee samples per hour.
Manual control
ROEST is equipped with up to five temperature sensors and a range of adjustable parameters to fit your roasting style. Adjust the airflow, drum speed, power, development settings and more. Switch to manual mode at any point during roasting simply by turning the knob.
Hybrid technology
ROEST combines two technologies: hot air roasters and conventional open drums. We took the best of both and created the perfect sample roaster for improving coffee quality. Roasting powered by electricity ensures consistency and precision; drum roasting replicates production roasters.
